Welcome
NanoBioMat is a research activity developed at CEISAM UMR 6230, Nantes Université, at the interface of chemistry, physical chemistry, materials science and biomedicine.
Our work focuses on the design of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticle-based nanoassemblies for biomedical applications, including magnetic hyperthermia, multimodal imaging, controlled drug delivery and nanomedicine strategies for liver diseases.
Research highlights
Magnetic nanoparticles
Synthesis, functionalization and characterization of iron oxide nanoparticles for biomedical applications.
Magnetic nanoassemblies
Control of magnetic interactions within dense multicore assemblies to improve magnetic hyperthermia and imaging properties.
Nanomedicine
Development of magnetically responsive platforms for drug delivery, multimodal therapy and liver diseases.
Current directions
- Magnetic nanoassemblies for hepatic cancer and immune-mediated liver diseases
- Combined phototherapy using magnetic and photoactive nanoassemblies
- Control of dipolar and exchange interactions in multicore magnetic systems
- Biophysical understanding of nanoparticle interactions with biological environments
